And Now For Something Completely Different...Setlist 1/6-7/05

ASince we are now firmly entrenched into a new year, I thought it might be nice to change up the setlist report a bit. I've had a scanner for a while, but when I walked into my apartment early this moring, I saw the scanner and thought to myself, "Self, let's try something new with the blog." So here you are, setlists directly from the KEOS studios to you, the people of the Brazos
Valley and beyond. You can get a full size picture of each part of the setlist by clicking on the setlist picture.

Last night was another special 5-hour festival of fun and frivolity as I took the helm of both Brokedown Palace and Loose Logic Set to Frankenstein together a rare and different show: The Brokedown Logic Set"

So let's start with the Brokedown Palace portion of the show in which we featured the Grateful Dead album, Workingman's Dead.

Just in case you can't read my writing... Posted by Hello

Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead

Uncle John's Band
High Time
Dire Wolf
New Speedway Boogie
Cumberland Blues
Black Peter
Easy Wind
Casey Jones

Then we used the remainder of the hour to play some outtakes from the Workingman's Dead studio sessions.

Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead Studio Session Outtakes

Ripple
Tastebud
Mason's Children
Uncle John's Band

There's also a commercial for the album on this Outtakes disc, but since we're a non-commercial radio station, I was unable to play it, regardless of the time I decided to air it. The commercial is funny as hell because the voice over guy sounds like some radio host from a Jazz and Swing radio station in the late '40s or even the '50s. A total disconnect. Obviously made by the establisment at Warner Bros. Records and not the band, but I digress...

So I ran out of space on the setlist page, and there was about 30 mins to go. I didn't want to use a whole setlist sheet for just a handfull of songs, so I picked up a scrap of paper and finished up this early morning setlist.
